Actually, Gamboa has technically been down twice. First time in his US debut (which i was at ringside at the Hollywood Hardrock casino) vs Adailton De Jesus, then against Darling Jimenez. Either way, they both were very controversial knock downs.

I didn't know much about Gamboa. he's pretty freaking awesome and im happy him and his boy lara and rigond are making it big. didn't know much about cuban boxing before. Lara is my fave. gamboa should drop weight class to reign well. juanma is the man right now and he's going to the 126 category. gamboa has a chance but needs more movement, hands up, and switching (southpaw/righthanded) to get punches in on Juanma.
you're right, that's why they got him seeger to fight and not somebody else. they have to bring him up right or else things may/or may not turn out bad for him. he's still a little short for his weight and can get caught out of range. he drops his hands all the time.etc

You gotta remember that boxers always fight below there natural weight so they can have a better chance at beating opponents.....then they gradualy move up. In the future i see gamboa going up to 135 and 140....and if after that hes as good as now or better, people better watchout.
